First Cold Front Predictions

As I write this, we are experiencing our first significant Cold Front. This will Shake things up a bit for us. We should start to see the bait really move inshore and we will start to Target all our Winter Season Species. We are talking about Barracudas (the once underrated fish has become a shallow water favorite) Jacks, Snappers, Mackerels, BlackTip and Lemon Sharks. The list goes on…….

Fall Fishing Begins

The weather is changing a bit, Hurricane season is coming to an end here. Fingers crossed we make through one more month with very little activity to South Florida. We are still catching the resident Tarpon in the early morning hours (picture are a few of the fish we caught this week)
With the change in the weather brings in the Bait, Pilchards are the bait of choice this time of year. And we have been having a ball using them to catch Barracudas, Jacks, Snapperand a whole bunch more.
Give us a Shout anytime and we’ll get you hooked up

Beat the Heat out on the Water

Walking around town can get HOT in August. A great way to cool off is out on the water, it’s always COOLER out there!!!! Theres been some good fishing early in the morning, by midday, things get a little tougher. Thats when its a great time to hit on of our Out Island SandBars and cool off in the Crystal Clear Water.
We offer it all so give Capt John a call 305.587.7669 to get out there.

Tarpon Season in Full Swing

Tarpon Season is in Full Swing here in the Florida Keys. The weather has been on the windy side, but that is normal for April. As we move into May and June the winds tend to lay down and these Tarpon really settle in for their stay in the Key West waters. So, if you’ve never been lucky enough to get a chance at catching the Silver King—NOW is the time.

Tarpon!!!! And Relaxing SandBar Trips

It is looking like it is that time of year, what I mean is TARPON SEASON. We all wait for this Migration every year and it is starting. We are seeing and catching fish in the usual spots. So get on the calender, because it is booking up FAST.
And don’t forget our SandBar Trips are running regularly, aboard the LilyPad. Also, it is the time of year that the water and weather warm up and what a great way to get out on the water around Key West to really see what the Florida Keys are all about.

Start of Tarpon Season?????

Over the last 10 days we have been seeing more and more Tarpon showing up in the usual places. We’ve had a couple crummy weather days where we didn’t see any, but when the conditions are right we have been having success with them. It’s still a little early, but it has been reassuring to see them and look forward to the next few months of great Tarpon Fishing

Get in touch soon as our dates are filling up!!!!

February 2024

The Winter Species are here with the cooler water temps.
The Pelicans have been bombing on bait along the shorelines and these baits are like candy to just about any fish that swims.
Barracudas on the flats are on of my favorite fish to target. Explosive hits and lightening runs make for a great light tackle fight.
Snappers have been gathering on the rock piles and patch reefs providing us with lots of action.
And We’ve still been catching a few Tarpon on the warmer days.
Give us a call 305.587.7669 to get out there for some Key West Fishing
