Its been HOT HOT HOT!!! The weather and the fishing both. Here are just a few pics from the last couple weeks onboard the ShadowCaster. The Tarpon Migration is all but over, but as you can see here there are still some Tarpon to be had under the right conditions. No matter what the Target Species is, its all about getting out there and having fun bending the rod on some awesome Key West fish.

Key West reopened June 1 2020 and things have been busy all Month long. The fish got a much needed break March, April and May and they have been eager to bite. We have had record number Tarpon catches this month. Usually by late June the Tarpon are starting their migration out of town, but there are still good numbers of fish around. Lots of fun fish too to stay busy in between Tarpon bites (Sharks, Snappers, Cudas, etc)

Fishing this year so far has been Great. (Weather Permitting). This week has been cold and windy, but looks like we are turning the corner over the next few days. The long term forecast is looking much better. Winter fishing can provide lots of action on light tackle. Here is just a few of the many species Key West winter time fishing can provide.

This month has been up and down with the weather. We are currently, as I write this, experiencing some days of 30+MPH winds and more rain than we are used to in December. But, we are almost out of this weather pattern.
When the weather is right the Fishing has been on fire. Lots of variety and action. All pictured fish were caught this month.
Starting Christmas day the weather forecast looks Great, right through until after the New Year. The weather this Oct was unusually warm here in Key West. This has been giving us awesome opportunities to catch fish we normally don’t target this time of year. The Tarpon fishing remained strong and when the conditions were right we have been getting our shots at Permit. This will change as we start getting Cold Fronts and should spark up the winter fishing. With a live well full of Pilchards we have a blast in the channels catching Jack, snappers, Cudas, etc. Also the Basins will kick off with the Sea Trout. October Fishing has been Great so Far. We are catching some resident Tarpon in the morning. These are not the giants that migrate through in the Spring, but some of their smaller cousins. Awesome fun on light tackle. Along with these resident Tarpon we are seeing some other winter species. Barracuda, Shark, Sea Trout, lots of fun fighting Jacks too. Season is here and things are Heating Up. We’ve been fishing everyday and catching a variety. Tarpon fishing has been on the menu and we are getting our shots at the Silver King. That will only get better as the weather stays consistent moving into Spring.
