Rounding out January 2024

The Wind has been an issue for us this past week in Key West. But, its still 75 degrees everyday, not bad compared to the rest of the country.
Come on down for some Warmth and Sun. The longterm forcast is looking fantastic for the last part of January!!!!
Heres just a sample of the fish we have caught over the last few trips.

Happy New Year 2024

Happy New Year—-This Holidays are past us and its a New Start to 2024. Things have kicked off great for us here at ShadowCaster Charters. The weather has been the typical winter pattern, with cold fronts moving through almost weekly. The cooler water temps have brought alot of the inshore species to some of the shallow reefs. We have been catching Snapper, Cobia, Grouper (although out of season, gotta release em), etc. For the die hard Tarpon fisherman, there are still resident Tarpon to target, but you gotta pick a good weather day.
Bookings are pouring in for our “season”, so get in touch and lets Go Fishing

Post Thanksgiving Fishing

We had a very busy Holiday Week here in Key West. Weather and Fishing both cooperated, which is a real treat for us 🙂
These are a Few of the fish we caught this past week. Things start to slow down until we get to Christmas, so lets get out there and take advantage of fewer boats on the water. Still a few spots open

Change in the Weather

We are moving into our “cooler” months and that is going to bring some different species. While there are still some Tarpon to fish for (on the warmer days), we are mixing it up with some different types of fishing. This is the time of year that variety is key. We are going to target snappers, sharks, barracudas, jacks, sea trout, etc. So give us a call 305.587.7669, drop us an email or book directly here on the site and we’ll get you out away from the crowds of Duval St for a few hours.

Late September 2023

Heres a couple pics from this week of fishing. Weather has been really good, dodging a few rain showers, but the winds have been light and thats what we like for the inshore Florida Keys Fishing. Starting to book up for the upcoming season, so get in touch with Capt John to reserve your spot. And, don’t forget the September Special of $100 off any charter when you book direct with Capt John. So give me a shout at 305.587.7669 to get in on some great Key West Fishing.

September 2023

As far as Tourism goes, we are in the “slow” season. But that’s not true for the fishing. Fishing in September can be great with the light winds and the water starting to cool off. Here’s a few pics from the last week on the ShadowCaster boats. Don’t forget about the $100 off all charters booked directly with Capt John for the month of September.
